Bob Bennett
A native of upstate New York’s Fingerlakes region, Bob Bennett is a graduate of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, with Bachelors and Maters degrees in Jazz Performance. Many St. Louisans first became familiar with Bennett as one of voices of WSIE-FM radio in 1998 (where he remained until the fall of 2007). At WSIE, he was mainly known for his work alongside legnedary broadcaster and jazz institution “The Man in the Red Vest” Leo Chears, an experience that he attributes as a catalyst for his current position, running Jazz at the Bistro. Away from the Bistro (which is rare for him to be), Bennett can be found on stage in other St. Louis venues as a member of Asbury Park, the premier Bruce Springsteen cover band on the planet!
