Jazz St. Louis invites students, teachers, friends and families of all ages to jazz up their education during the 2009-2010 season! Because of generous support, emerging student musicians can enroll in JazzU or challenge their chops with the Jazz St. Louis All-Stars. Teachers can bring their students to one of our many exciting and informative Youth Concerts featuring JazzReach or host an artist in their school through the Emerson Jazz in the Schools program.

Looking to bring jazz education into your classroom with a more intensive and hands on approach? Sign up for an In-school Residency with Jazz St. Louis Artist Residency Program and have a professional artist lead your students in a clinic or master class! Want to learn more about jazz, its ins and outs and what makes it a unique American art form? Whatever your age, profession or passion, Jazz St. Louis invites you to be a part of our exciting education programs!

In addition to the concert series at Jazz at the Bistro and many education programs targeting students, Jazz St. Louis also hosts a number of activities aimed towards taking America’s classical music, jazz, to the metropolitan St. Louis region.

During the 2008-2009 season, Jazz St. Louis debuted two successful programs, the CD Listening Clubs and Whitaker Community Concerts, critical to exposing those who may be curious about jazz but do not listen to it regularly and are unfamiliar with its basic elements and its history.
