Pianist Laurence Hobgood has enjoyed a multi-faceted and dynamic career. Since 1995, Hobgood has been the musical director for Kurt Elling, playing on, composing/arranging for, and co-producing all of Elling’s albums (six for Blue Note and three for Concord), all of which were Grammy-nominated. Dedicated To You: Kurt Elling Sings The Music Of Coltrane and Hartman, recorded live at Lincoln Center, won the 2010 Grammy Award for Best Vocal Jazz Record.
