Bassist Stanley Clarke returns to the Bistro for another sensational engagement, this time with an acoustic trio. As one critic wrote and almost everyone who hears him agrees, Stanley Clarke “is the greatest living bass virtuous in the world, second to none, hands down, end of discussion.”
“(Stanley Clarke) is to jazz, what Michael Jordan is to basketball, an icon!” – Jazz Review
Personnel:
Stanley Clarke – bass
Ruslan Sirota – piano & keyboards

It would be useful to know for all of the acts who are the accompanying musicians. For instance, as a drummer myself, I like to know who will be playing drums. If you listed this on the main calendar page, I think you would get more people to buy tickets.
Please put me on your email list for all jazz shows that appear in St. Louis……Thanks, in advance……
List the sidemen/supporting soloists on the set with the headliner. These people’s careers are what they are as a direct result of the dynamic talents of the other players on the recordings that caught our attention in the first place. Stanley Clarke doesn’t produce his material in a vacuum anymore than John Mglaughlin does. Who plays with him is material to who and how many will show up to see and hear the group.
The sidemen are now listed on the Stanley Clarke show. We do not always post the members of the band because a lot of times we do not know until the week before or week of who is in the band. Also, with the season being booked so far in advance, many times the headliner will change the sidemen. We can’t guarantee specific personnel unless it is written in the contract. If that is the case, we list the full band.
With that being said, it is nice to know who the band is and we will try to post personnel when the band is confirmed, just keep in mind that it is subject to change.
What a great video. Stanley Clarke is the greatest. A great All-Star band! I had a chance to work with Flea in Europe last year. He’s another great bassist.
