Gala April 5 at Neiman Marcus

Submitted by Melissa Jones on Tue, 03/04/2008 - 16:00.

Here is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a night of cocktails, fabulous food, NM hospitality and dynamic entertainment featuring the hot young singer Tony DeSare, described by the NY Times as "a lean baby Sinatra." Plus, you can experience all of it for a very good cause: Jazz St. Louis' education and outreach activities benefiting the youth of our region, particularly those in underserved communities. Jazz St. Louis offers weekly, after school workshops for middle and high school students learning to play jazz; trains advanced student musicians who perform together throughout the area on a regular basis; hosts artist residencies to put world-class artists in direct, in-depth teaching situations with students at numerous schools and in our programs; and brings these world-class artists to the Bistro stage and to schools for performance opportunities which are unique to the region.

The Arthur and Helen Baer Foundation has underwritten the event, so nearly 100% of your ticket purchase price goes toward our education and outreach programs. Jazz St. Louis has reached 58,000 students through in-school performances, masterclasses, and workshops led by topflight artists.

Please be a part of this very special night by purchasing tickets or a table. I've included the invitation for your review and a form you can fill out and send to me. Thank you so much for your support!
