Jazz St. Louis is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to the thriving of jazz in America through our mission: to promote, present, and preserve jazz in greater St. Louis and to enhance St. Louis' reputation as a premier jazz center. St. Louisans have played and listened to jazz for almost a century. We are the only organization in the St. Louis area working to celebrate and extend that rich heritage by making St. Louis a flourishing jazz community, and, we hope, by setting an example that other American cities will emulate.

Jazz St. Louis supports its mission through performance, education, and outreach activities that train young musicians, expose young people (aka our future audience) to the music and build adult audiences for jazz.
