There’s no such thing as enough of a good thing, and we certainly can’t get enough of John Coltrane. This month, we honor and celebrate the genius behind “A Love Supreme,” one of jazz’s most important albums ever recorded. Critically acclaimed and award-winning guest author and music historian (among other credits) Ashley Kahn, will lead us on a journey into Coltrane’s life, mind and process during the creation of “A Love Supreme” in this month’s Book Club and Whitaker Jazz Speaks sessions. Both events are free (but tickets are required) and open to the public.
Also this month, The Adam Maness Trio along with Freddie Washington pay tribute to Coltrane with two evenings of performances on April 19 and 20 at the Ferring Jazz Bistro. Tickets for this event are currently on sale and can be purchased online or at the box office.
