Kick off a week long celebration of Miles 100th Birthday, with the ultimate party.

In an unprecedented Tuesday evening event, Jazz St. Louis is hosting a celebration on Miles Davis’s 100th birthday. The internationally acclaimed Terell Stafford and Tim Warfield will lead this very a special concert honoring the great East St. Louis Trumpeter.

But we won’t stop there, the party keeps going all week long!

Stafford and Warfield pay tribute to the lineage connecting Miles Davis and John Coltrane in a four night extravaganza. Chosen for their deep mastery of this pivotal era in jazz history, Stafford and Warfield are celebrated touring artists whose careers reflect the innovation, discipline, and expressive power that defined both Miles and Coltrane. Both artists share meaningful professional ties to St. Louis and a long-standing relationship with Jazz St. Louis, making them uniquely suited to honor this legacy with authority, insight, and artistic integrity.

MEB brings the anticipation…

Before the Miles in May celebrations begin, Miles Davis alumni and next-gen stars ignite the stage in a tribute to his electric era.

As a featured part of the the Miles Davis Estate Centennial Year, M.E.B. (Miles Electric Band), founded and led by Emmy and GRAMMY Award–winning drummer and producer Vincent Wilburn Jr., Miles Davis’ nephew, is touring internationally. This electrifying evening with the MEB (Miles Electric Band), led by Emmy and Grammy-winning producer/drummer Vince Wilburn, Jr. and featuring Keyon Harrold, unites Miles Davis alumni with rising modern jazz stars. This dynamic ensemble celebrates the groundbreaking legacy of Miles Davis and his iconic electric era.
